Mark was trained in both natural (engineering) and social (economic) science traditions and holds an MBA, which makes him apt to manage complex and interdisciplinary business projects.

He has excellent analytical and synthetic skills and is strong in strategic and out-of-the-box thinking. He is a team player, a team builder and an effective communicator, used to working in a multicultural context.

Mark has more than 10 years of experience in managing research and consultancy projects. He worked as an environmental economics researcher at the universities of Brussels and Ghent, as scientific project manager at the IRGT, as energy and climate change consultant for Ecorys Netherlands and as business consultant for Atos Consulting.

In the latest years, he has built a track record in strategy and innovation consulting and in business process improvement, a.o. for Thomas Cook and DEME.

Mark is convinced that practices of sustainable business, like Cradle to Cradle design, are great strategic opportunities to cope with the challenges of the 21st century.
